'Full of such sensual detail that to read it is to breathe it in.'

About

Welcome and thank you for visiting. I've been keeping this blog since 2010 as a place to write about everything related to the process of being a writer and academic, book reviews, publishing, research, the challenges of finding free time, conferences and festivals, family and hobbies, and all things in between.

More recently, the blog has been focused on current writing projects including a writing residency at the Museum of Loss and Renewal in Collemacchia, Italy (2022).

My most recent poetry can be found in the collection, Stay Bones, (Pindrop Press, 2020). For a list of other publications please see the headed sections titled Publications or Events.

Other topics you'll find here include: creative collaboration, walking and nature (especially botany), slow travel (I love trains!), series, serials and anything sequential (tv, poetry, novels), all elements of Narrative Studies, mah jong, minimalist living, and multi-media visual art.

Please subscribe to this blog for updates on new posts.

Hope you enjoy!
